What’s on Lake District
What’s on in the Lake District
Lots of half term fun this October! There’s spooky goings on at Muncaster Castle throughout the week, with fun for all the family.
The Forestry commission hopes families will head out to explore and draw in the forests around us. They have lots of events over half term, and in particular Whinlatter will be getting spooky for Halloween on 31 October, between 11am and 4pm, with the chance to make your own broomstick or wizard wand, take part in a scary scavenger hunt or make a woodland potion (activities free). You can also try and tempt some visitors to your garden by making a bat box (£5).
Cumbria’s forests are at their very finest at this time of year, and the autumn colours will be around their peak during half term. Come and see us at Winder for afternoon tea to round off your day. Book a table on 01900 85107.
Theatre by the Lake Keswick
There’s always an amazing programme at Theatre by the Lake. As ambassadors of the theatre, we’re entitled to £2 off a ticket so if you are staying with us and would like to us to assist with booking we’d love to pass this benefit on to you.
Some highlights this autumn & winter are “Bedroom Farce” by Alan Ayckbourn (hilarious!), “Dry Rot” by John Chapman and
for the Christmas season that wonderful tale “The Railway Children”. Click the link above to get a complete picture.
