Our comfortable lounge and our exquisite Dining room have both been licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and are ideal for more intimate celebrations.
The lounge allows 10-15 guests relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings of Winder Hall. The Dining Room generously accommodates 20-45 guests for both ceremony and a fabulous sit-down wedding breakfast. Your guests can enjoy the beautiful surrounds of Winder Hall at your reception, and you have the perfect backdrop for stunning photos to treasure forever.
If you are looking for a church service, Lorton church is only a short distance away, which allows you and your guests to discover the beautiful surroundings and settings of this magical wedding venue. If the sun shines for you, why not walk back across the meadow followed by friends and family to return for a wonderful celebration at Winder Hall?

We also have an elegant, baronial hall in Cockermouth which comfortably caters for up to 140 guests for parties and weddings. The Saints Rooms has a sweeping staircase up to a chandeliered room, complete with maple sprung dance floor, stage, sound system and fantastic lighting. We can cater to your tastes with fabulous food, and run a fully staffed bar to make your celebration run like clockwork.
